Okay, BookDragons, I have some exciting news to share with you! As many of you know, Pen Pal by J.T. Geissinger is our November Book Club pick here at Sassy’s Nook. After finishing the book and writing my review, I discovered that there’s a sequel coming out this month! I had no idea there was another book on the way when I originally chose Pen Pal for our book club, so you can imagine how excited I was to find out that Pen Pal: Afterlife is scheduled to release on November 24, 2026!
For those who aren’t familiar with J.T. Geissinger, she’s a New York Times bestselling author known for writing romance with plenty of passion, suspense, humor, and unexpected twists. Her stories have attracted readers who enjoy complicated relationships, intense chemistry, and plots that keep them guessing. With Pen Pal: Afterlife, she’s returning to the world of Pen Pal to continue a story that explores love, loss, and the possibility that some connections might be powerful enough to transcend death.
From what I’ve learned about the upcoming release, Pen Pal: Afterlife continues the paranormal romance and suspense elements introduced in the first book while exploring what happens when love and the afterlife become intertwined. I’m especially curious to see where Geissinger takes the story next and whether this new installment will answer some of the questions readers may have after finishing Pen Pal. I’m intentionally avoiding too many details about the plot because even the official description contains spoilers for the first book, and I certainly don’t want to ruin those surprises for anyone participating in our book club.
